We wash, process and draw the hair in our own facility using methods exclusive to our workshop. We strive to maintain consistent high quality products, while maintaining a complete selection so you can tailor your violin, viola, cello or bass rehair to a wide variety of bows and players.
We are located in the heart of the Pioneer Valley, near the beautiful Connecticut River in the village of Easthampton, Massachusetts. Here you'll find high quality horse hair for bows. Our horsehair comes from Northeastern China, Mongolia and the Americas.
We invite you to browse through our store and shop with confidence. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with our products or service at any time, please let us know. In the days of rutted roads and horse-drawn transportation, tourists by the thousands trekked to western Massachusetts and ascended to the summit of Mount Holyoke. Charles Dickens and Henry James made the climb. Thomas Cole and other, lesser ninteenth-century romantic painters set up their easels near the precipice. The scene they gazed at was, for a time, the most famous landscape in America. Now an interstate highway and a marina intrude on the view. Otherwise, it hasn't changed much.
You look out on the valley of the Connecticut River, and expanse of cultivated fields and of forest sweeping away across the horizon, and, at the center, the old town of Northampton.
